Eros Fire

Does it Work?

Eros Fire is manufactured by a company called Woodbolt Distribution in Hood River, Oregon.  They also make a similar female enhancement product called ‘Eros Desire.’

Neither the company nor the product has a website, which is never a very promising sign of legitimacy.

Subsequently, very little information is available about Eros Fire or Woodbolt Distribution, though what is known is deeply concerning.

In 2008 Health Canada, the equivalent Federal agency to the FDA, extensively researched Eros Fire after receiving numerous complaints from users who experienced health issues such as headaches, sensitivity to light and abnormal or irregular heartbeats.

Their thorough testing revealed that Eros Fire contained xanthoanthrafil (also known as benzamidenafil).

Xanthoanthrafil is very similar to sildenafil, the active ingredient in pharmaceutical male enhancement drugs such as Viagra, and has similar properties which make it potentially unsafe for men with existing health concerns, particularly those with heart conditions

It was then an entirely new compound which had not been tested or authorized for use by Health Canada, and its effects on people were completely unknown.

The substance also did not appear on the Eros Fire label among its ingredients.

Part of the Health Canada report stated:

‘The use of known prescription drugs for erectile dysfunction by patients with heart disease can result in serious cardiovascular side-effects such as sudden cardiac death, heart attack, stroke, low blood pressure, chest pain and abnormal heartbeat. Additionally, use of these drugs may be associated with other side-effects including vision loss, seizures, sudden decrease or loss of hearing, dizziness, prolonged erections, headaches, flushing, nasal congestion, indigestion and abdominal pain. These drugs should not be used by individuals taking any type of nitrate drug (e.g. nitroglycerin) due to the risk of developing potentially life-threatening low blood pressure.’

As a result of their report, Eros Fire was recalled across Canada.

It appears that the FDA has yet to investigate and rule on Eros Fire, no doubt due to the enormous backlog of hundreds of male enhancement products on the market, plus the dozens of new ones which are introduced each year.

This has unfortunately meant that Eros Fire is still widely available across the United States, especially among online resellers.

There are so many elements of Eros Fire we find disturbing it’s hard to know where to begin; the use of an untested, unlabeled potentially unsafe ingredient is unconscionable, no product or company website is decidedly bogus, no product information or guarantee is appalling, and the callousness that would allow Woodbolt Distribution to continue to make and sell the product, leave little choice for our assessment.

We strongly caution against the use of Eros Fire or any other product manufactured by Woodbolt Distribution.

Customer Reviews

There are no customer testimonials on the non-existent Eros Fire website.

Is it a scam?

Eros Fire comes as close to being an outright scam as any product we have researched, and has the potentially for being unsafe as well.
