Sunny Beach Nature

Sunny
beach is situated in a wide semicircular bay, facing on
the east. It has over eight kilometers long and from
thirty to sixty meters wide beach strip, covered with
fine golden sand. Undoubtedly, its biggest tourist
attraction are its natural dunes, among which grow up to
sixteen rare and extraordinary plant species. This is
extremely beloved place for summer holidays due to its
clean water and gently sloping sea bottom, together with
quite calm sea without tides. Another picturesque place
in Sunny beach is its lovely sea garden with
invigorating clear air, carrying the total freshness of
the nearby mountains. Its peculiar sea breeze usually
makes scorching days easier to bear and the nights
pleasantly cool. Generally said, the climate of Sunny
beach is characterized with around 1700 hours of general
sunshine from May to October. Its day temperature
commonly changes between 15 degrees in April and around
29 degrees for July and August.

The
ordinary range of the night temperature here is from
just seven degrees in April up to eighteen or sometimes
more in July or August. Most often water temperature in
this Bulgarian popular summer resort changes slightly in
the frame of ten degrees for April even up to
twenty-three or a bit more for August and the beginning
of September. This location already takes its primary
place among the most beloved resorts in our country due
to the longer duration of its sunshine, around seven
hours in April and eleven in July and August. Another
important feature for its major tourist significance is
the comparatively small number of the typical rainy days
here, ranging from only three for July and August to six
in May and June. Sunny Beach has recently become a
bearer of the prestigious "Blue flag" prize, received
for its various proven ecological advantages along the
Black Sea coast. For example, this is one of the few
places in Bulgaria, where all visitors still can see the
picturesque outlines of the genuine well-formed sand
dunes. It could be advisable for you to keep in mind
that the most beautiful of them are situated in the
southern part of this resort.
