Does Orexis Work?
From our research we believe that Orexis would be an effective male enhancement supplement but it is also potentially dangerous to your health. We would be able to validate this more if we knew the potency of the ingredients.
Orexis, a product by Urban Nutrition, uses a variety of natural ingredients but the active ingredient seems to be Tribulus Terrestris, an herb that has been proven through clinical trials to increase testosterone.
The supplement also includes Yohimbe. Yohimbe is the bark of an African tree that while effective for male enhancement, is dangerous when it comes to your overall health. Yohimbe has been listed as potentially unsafe by the FDA. This is because it has been proven to cause high blood pressure, anxiety, dizziness, quick heart rate and other potentially dangerous side effects. It’s best to check with your doctor before taking any supplement that includes yohimbe.
Side Effects
Orexis uses Yohimbe extract which has been deemed potentially unsafe by the FDA. This is because it has been proven to cause many problems in men including but not limited to: increased blood pressure, renal failure, seizures and possibly death. Please consult a physician before taking any supplement that includes Yohimbe.
Customer Reviews
The major complaints boards are rife with issues from customers who feel they have been ripped off. Many believe the product didn’t work for them at all. This can be because of simple biology (not all men will get perfect results from male enhancement supplements) but more people seem to be complaining about the companies business practices.
The company (like many in this industry) partakes in an autoship program that seems near impossible to get out of. When a customer calls the customer service line they are told to leave a message and wait for a call back. A recording then informs customers that they will not be called back for anything regarding the autoship program.
Here is one customer’s comments:
“Having a VERY BAD experience with Urban Nutrition (the makers of MyDailyDose and Orexis/Orexia). I have ordered their trial versions of MyDailyDose and Orexis as part of this iPod deal. I have received MyDailyDose in the mail, and not received the Orexis. The bad experience lies with their customer service. Apparently, the only way you can cancel out of their ‘autoship’ (auto-deduct from your credit card) is to do it online. I’ve done this 6 times already, and have not received their promised email notification confirmations. I have called their phone number, and the only way you can reach a customer service rep (or ANYONE!) is to leave a message – and they clearly stipulate that they will not answer any ‘Autoship’ cancellation messages.
My advice to anyone who might wonder: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! I am considering a seperate RIP OFF and BBB report for this company.
On another note, I did receive one of my credit cards yesterday…unfortunately, I have already completed 2 offers from it’s catagory.”
Is it a scam?
We can’t recommend Orexis based on a few things. First is that the ingredients they use, though effective, can be very dangerous and because they don’t publish the dosage per pill of each ingredient it’s impossible to know just how effective or dangerous the product could be. Second, the company uses an autoship program that is near impossible to cancel. Lastly their customer service is reportedly very bad and unable to help with even basic questions or concerns.
