Does Avela Work?

Avela was a male enhancement product that does not seem to be on the market any longer. It was originally advertised as a male enhancement product with most of the marketing focused on the fact that it used Bioperine.

The product is made by a Phoenix based company called Central Coast Nutraceuticals. In 2010 this company was shut down by the Federal Trade Commission in the United States after it was discovered that they had scammed customers out of millions of dollars.

It was discovered that not only did their products not work, but the company would sign customers up for a ‘free trial’ that in reality would sign them up for a monthly subscription. It was almost impossible to cancel this subscription.

The company had thousands of consumer complaints placed on it for ineffective products and illegal business practices.

Side Effects

There is no official list of ingredients for this product. There are numerous complaints that it (and all the products made by this company) does not work. The lack of ingredient list is also worrying based on the fact that there is no way to know if the product is safe to take with prescription medications or in the case of a preexisting condition.

Please speak with a doctor before taking any product that does not publish it’s ingredients.

Customer Reviews
The company has over 1000 complaints with the BBB that have not been answered. The company is listed under numerous complaints boards and has numerous customer service issues. This company has been shut down by the FDA and is currently undergoing a law suit.

It is recommended that you do NOT purchase from this company.

Here is one comment found online:

“I received the product in the mail a few days later, I tried it out, and it did not work. The lady on the phone advised I now owed $77.95 US for not returning the product from the free trial. She stated that if I did not pay my outstanding balance, CCN would send my account to a collection agency, and this could damage my credit report.”

Is it a scam?

According to the Federal Trade Commission the practice this company partook in was in fact an illegal scam. If you have been a victim of this scam please speak to your bank. The product is no longer available online from any kind of source (including third party retailers.) If you do find a bottle of the product it is probably well beyond it’s ‘best before’ date.
