Pamporovo Ski Runs

The total height of this Rhodopi resort is 1620 meters and its highest skiing area is situated on 1 937 meters. Nowadays in Pamporovo there are already eight lifts - five chair and three drag, with the total capacity of 8500 persons per hour. This Bulgarian mountain resort is extremely popular today due to its long ski runs - twenty-five kilometers for all of them and the longest single run is 3,8 kilometers. For the total convenience and fun of all visitors, there are various ski runs of all degrees of difficulty in Pamporovo, and the majority of these tracks start from the very peak. Additionally, there are three cross-country runs in the resort, long together around forty kilometers. The ski runs in Pamporovo are located between 1 926 and 1 450 meters above the sea level on the northern, eastern and western slopes of The Snejanka peak in the Rhodopi mountains. Do not forget that the most difficult ski piste remains "The Wall". All other major ski runs leave from this peak, where the TV tower is located. On the other hand, there are some interesting opportunities for great off-piste skiing and snowboarding, available in this resort, but it is always advisable for you to use a local guide when you tend to go off-piste.

Pamporovo Ski Runs Variety

Beginners can start with the specialized ski-school of Pamporovo, which is already famous enough due to its quality tuition. Then, you would be able to ski on the variety of nursery slopes, and just after few days you will continue with the higher ski runs.

Intermediate skiers should at the beginning keep in mind that the total length of ski runs which are suitable for them is approximately twenty kilometers. For example, these skiers can jump on the triple chairlift from the Malina station to the top of Snejanka peak. In addition, a single chair lift goes to the middle station, from where the new four persons lift runs up to the peak,too.

Advanced skiers have the great opportunity to take the drag lift from the middle station, which runs up the side of "The Wall". But, be careful because this is the most difficult ski-run in the resort. You could also try the other difficult piste, that starts from the TV tower, after the last station of the triple chair.

Finally, the mountain rescue service works twenty-four hours a day, taking care of the total security of the skiers. The special ski-kindergarden is open from half eight in the morning to five o clock pm. You could be really dived in your winter hobby in this resort because all ski runs are safe-guarded and maintained in a very good condition. In addition, more than hundred highly qualified professional ski-instructors, fluent in different languages, will be able to help both beginners and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. Consider in advance that all necessary ski-rentals could be easily found near the ski runs and the lift stations.
